FC&HS: A Walk Through Forres

In 1960, The Beatles played Forres Town Hall. They adopted stage names for the gig. John Lennon became known as "Johnny Lennon" and Paul McCartney was "Paul Ramon."

The UK's best-selling biscuit; the humble Digestive, originated from Forres, and now over 80 million packets are sold each year.

Macbeth fell fatally foul of the 3 witches' prophecies on a hillock just outside of town.

Just a snippet of the discussions we had as part of our walking workshop through Forres, as local people shared tales and considered how Forres should tell its story through interpretation in the town centre.
