FC&HS: Explore the stories of Forres

Head along to Forres Tolbooth between 11am and 4pm this Culture Day (26 September) for the launch of ‘High Street Histories’ and ‘Stories from the Shadows’.

Explore the fascinating histories of Forres High Street and discover some of the people, places and events that have shaped the town. Then immerse yourself in our new soundwalk - inviting you to experience Forres through the voices and stories hidden within its streets.

Together, these new experiences offer a glimpse into the rich heritage of Forres — and the stories waiting to be discovered.

Whilst there, you can also explore the latest designs for the upcoming interpretation installations and discover the fascinating stories they will bring to life.

Over the past year, the Spirit of Forres: Stories and Stone interpretation project has evolved through conversations and engagement with the local community.

Now, you’re invited to see how those ideas have taken shape and share your thoughts and feedback. Your views will help shape the final interpretation experience and ensure that Forres’s stories continue to be told in a way that reflects the community and its heritage.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day and continuing the story of Forres together!
